As Mother's Day approaches, here at Roper's Jewelers we start to get requests to create one of a kind pieces of family jewelry. Family jewelry can take many forms, but most often it takes the shape of a Mother's Ring. A Mother's Ring usually includes stones to represent a mother and her children, and very often her spouse as well. The birthstone for each family member is set into the piece as a permanent reminder of that person's place in the family. Many women cherish these pieces as an outward symbol of the family that they love so deeply.

Mother's rings and pendants can be created from sterling silver, yellow gold, white gold or platinum, and they can include any number of stones. We have mountings available that are already created, or you can choose to custom make the perfect symbol of your family. Our Master Goldsmith: Russell Thurman will work with you to create a sketch of your family jewelry. Next he'll cut the prototype in wax, make a mold from the wax, then cast and finish the piece in the metal of your choice. Finally he'll set the stones to represent your family, thereby creating a piece of jewelry as unique and special as your family itself. Words cannot describe all of the emotions that comprise a family's feelings for one another, but a custom created piece of jewelry will be a reminder for years to come, of the love that your family shares. Family Jewelry is the perfect gift for moms and grandmas, at Mother's Day or any other time of year. Speaking of which, Father's and Grandfather's rings make wonderful gifts for dads and grandpas too!
